Wedding couple: Tyler and Ben

The Art Gallery of New South Wales is a special place for Tyler and Ben. As the setting for their first date, it was the perfect location to return to for their beautiful wedding ceremony in 2021.

We had the most unique and perfect wedding experience

Interview with Tyler and Ben

What is your favourite memory from your wedding?

Our favourite memory was the surreal feeling of being dressed up and having the Art Gallery all to ourselves. An experience we will never forget.

The Art Gallery of NSW is a really special place for both of us. We are both lovers of art and the Gallery is also where we had our first date. This combined with an unbeatable location for a ceremony and photos is why we selected the Art Gallery for our venue.

Tell us about the theme and styling of your wedding.

Our wedding was very minimalist. We had an amazing venue with the Art Gallery and we wanted the Gallery itself to really be highlighted in everything we did.

Do you have any stand-out suppliers you’d recommend?

Our photographer Lei Lei Clavey, J Andreatta for the custom wedding dress and MJ Bale for the groom’s suit. And, of course, the amazing events team from the Art Gallery. Thanks to all the amazing work from the coordinators, security, audio and anyone else behind the scenes, we had the most unique and perfect wedding experience.

Do you have any tips you’d give other couples planning their wedding day?

Trust the people around you and enjoy the process. All of our vendors and the coordinators we had helping us prepare for the day made the process extremely smooth and fun. It’s easy to stress the small stuff, but when surrounding yourself with talented people, your day will be perfect.
