Function room
The function room at the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located at the end of the entrance court on the ground level of our original south building, now known as Naala Nura.
With timber flooring and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking East Sydney, this bright, contemporary space is a blank canvas for your next event.
It can be used as a semi-private event space during Art Gallery opening hours, including during our Art After Hours late opening on Wednesdays for dinner and cocktail events. We can also arrange tours of the art on display, including major ticketed exhibitions, with our engaging guides.
The function room can be exclusively hired for evening events when the Art Gallery is closed, including wedding ceremonies and receptions.
As the function room is next to the restaurant, both spaces can be joined to create a larger space, suitable for up to 300 guests for an evening cocktail-style event.
