Amelia Rand Maddie in the garden

In January 2018, my family and I moved from England to Australia, leaving all our friends and extended family behind. I chose to draw this picture of my English friend Maddie, who now lives on the other side of the world to me, to show how much I miss her. Every time I look at this portrait it makes me smile because it feels like she is really there, smiling straight back at me from her garden.
