Sin Wai Zheng Self-portrait

I chose to paint myself with acrylic paint on paper. I am in boarding school and I love to paint in my spare time. My parents are still in China and I miss them very much. My dad encouraged me to learn painting at my art school. He said when I feel lonely I can paint. I am very much enjoying going to my art school. My teacher taught me how to draw and how to paint. In this self-portrait, I painted in the style of master painter Caravaggio and my teacher said it looks like I am lit by candlelight.
