Juan Ford This moment

This work reflects upon the absurdity of attempting to dominate and control the natural world. After all, we are products of nature and not separate from it. The human will to control nature is evident in the illustrations of landscapes that we are so used to. Ponder this: when one stands in a landscape, the experience of doing so is utterly different to the experience of looking at an image of the same landscape. This difference is so great that it verges on the farcical. This work depicts that yawning divide, in being a painting of landscape that has been painted.
