Kaylene Whiskey Come see Kaylene

This painting is on an old tourism poster that reminded me of the creeks, trees and rocks from my home, Indulkana, in the Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, South Australia. I painted myself standing in the creek. I’m singing out to my friends, ‘Come and see Kaylene!’ So, Wonder Woman has flown in to visit me and Dolly Parton is playing a song for us from up in the tree. I love my Country and my culture, and I paint the plants and the animals I see in the bush, as well as ideas from comic books, TV, movies and music.
