Under the Milky Way tonight is about me, my two daughters and the importance of embracing the simple moments in life. I’ve wrapped us up in our own blankets to protect and nurture us. I’ve always loved crocheted blankets, perhaps because of the nostalgia they hold, as well as the comfort and warmth they give – or perhaps it’s just that they look so good!

Our individual blankets in this painting represent the differences and individuality among the three of us, but there are also similarities too. We are three on this couch, yet we lie as one under the Milky Way tonight.
