This portrait by John Allcot of British merchant sea captain James Bisset (1883–1967) is now in the collection of the Australian War Memorial, Canberra. Bissett is depicted in uniform on the deck of SS Queen Mary, which he commanded when it operated as a troop ship during the Second World War.
