Jake Owens Arbitration

My biggest question when approaching my artwork was to ask, Why? Why would people put those things where they did? Through answering that question you learn a lot about them. For example, some people associated the lighter with smoking whereas others associated it with fire and heat. Some people interpreted the soccer ball as the game soccer, some as sport in general, and some just as exercise.
