We acknowledge the Gadigal of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the Country on which the Art Gallery of New South Wales stands.

Simplified English summary

The Art Gallery of New South Wales wants to make sure that everyone can experience the Gallery and the art that we have here.

So we have a Disability Inclusion Action Plan to help us reach that goal.

It explains what we are going to do to improve the Gallery for people with disability over the three years from 2017 until 2020.

This is called improving access or accessibility.

We are focusing on four areas.

1. We will help everyone who works at the Gallery be more aware of people with disability and their needs, and encourage positive attitudes.

2. We will look for new ways for people with disability to experience the Gallery and take part in activities.

3. We will look for more ways for people with disability to work with us.

4. We will make it easier for people with disability to get what they need and to tell us what they think.

We are working with people with disability to achieve these goals.

If you would like to tell us about your thoughts and experiences, you can email artmail@ag.nsw.gov.au or call 02 9225 1700.
